Eucheuma cottonii is a kind of read alga, growing on coastal reefs. It resembles both coral and broccoli in appearance, and comes in a variety of colors, such as purplish red, brownish red, light yellow, etc. When dried, it takes on the shape of a hard, branch-like structure. After being soaked, it turns into a translucent, jelly-like substance. When cooked, it becomes sticky and rich in natural collagen. Agar is extracted from the eucheuma cottonii.

It is rich in algin, calcium, iron and dietary fiber. Every 100 grams contains 40 grams of dietary fiber. It also contains natural hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, protein and so on.

Consumption method:After soaking and washing the dried encheuma cottonii thoroughly, add 2L of water to a pot. Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then add 10ml of vinegar. Turn the heat down to low and simmer for approximately 1.5 hours. At this point, the liquid will have a slightly sticky consistency.
